Now, there certainly isn’t anything wrong with getting 10% off on your first purchase at Home Depot (or Lowes, or anywhere for that matter). But the reality is, many of us just won’t sign up for a credit card if we’re only going to get 10% back on our first purchase (the exception being the day you walk in to buy a hot tub for $2000 and this makes a huge difference).

Instead of getting 10% back once, Bank of America now offers a card that gives 2% back on all purchases made for your home. While the card is subject to the certain spending limits that are common on these types of cards, the odds that you’ll hit these spending limits are small. The only major downside is that the 2% bonus on purchases is reduced to 1% after 12 months.
