DIYNetwork and HGTV in High Definition on FIOS!

ads>

About 4 months ago we decided to spring for FIOS, Verizon’s new fiber to the premises (FTTP) cable, internet, and telephone solution.  We’ve owned an RCA HDTV for a few years and have never bothered to purchase a service that took advantage of the full capabilities of the TV.

Of course, a not-so-insignificant factor in us choosing to have FIOS installed was gaining DIYNetwork and HGTV in High Definition.  I can only say, “WOW!”  The service is fantastic.  HGTV is literally clearer than watching a standard DVD on our progressive scan panasonic system.   The picture is so real, it only makes us that much more jealous of the homes we see featured!

So, Verizon gets this little unpaid endorsement from us.  If you’re as addicted to these networks as we are, and you want to see them in all their glory, Verizon might just be a good deal for you.

Oh yeah, and the internet & telephone services are great, too.  We used to have regular outtages with Comcast.  In the last 4 months, I can’t recall FIOS being down once.  Truly a major improvement.
