Garden Tool Organizer Tote
For some time I’ve been carrying my gardening tools around the yard in jumbled-in-a-bucket fashion. Didn’t want to spend money on the flimsy plastic totes I found, since one encounter with the twins renders them recycling-bin occupants. But I also didn’t want to spend a whole lot of money on something that’s inevitably going to get dirty.
But this week, I found “The One.” I bought the Husky 10-inch All Purpose Tote at Home Depot (cost: $16.97) and am already loving it. It’s very sturdy (steel handle with a foam grip and heavy-duty canvas construction) and has almost two dozen individual pockets, plus space in the middle for my gloves, plant-food and larger items.
Since I do plan on harnessing the energy of the aforementioned twins in this year’s gardening efforts, it’s great to to have a tote that can organize all my tools (and now theirs) and also can withstand double-five-year-old enthusiasm.

Great idea – I’ve been doing something similar with my tools for years – using a canvas bag from Harbor freight tools. I usually have some essential tools in it – knife, tape measure, hammer, drivers, and then just add job specific items. When I’m done, I put back the tools, and it’s ready for the next task.

I really need this! We have a home depot orange bucket with insert organizer for tools in the basement, and this looks like the perfect outside counterpart. I’m so tired of having a spade here, a hand rake there, a pruner waaaay over there, etc.
