Giveaway! Mosquito 86 Gas-blower based Mosquito Prevention System

UPDATE:  This giveaway ended on September 30, 2008.  You can see the giveaway winner here.  If you’re looking to purchase a Mosquito 86 system, scroll to the bottom of this article.

This is the One Project Closer September Tool Giveaway!

This month, one lucky winner has the opportunity to win an innovative mosquito elimination system called Mosquito 86. Anyone who wants to enjoy the outdoors should know about this effective method that has previously only been offered by the Pros!

  • Mosquito 86 operates as an attachment to a common hand-held yard or leaf blower to turn it into an effective mosquito killing machine.
  • Mosquito 86 is NOT a fogger. It disperses a professional-grade mosquito killing solution with a high level of directional control and just the right velocity. It provides precise control over the air and agent stream, enabling you to easily apply to lawn, trees, bushes, and gardens.
  • Mosquito 86 is most effective on mosquitoes, ants, biting flies, gnats, fleas and ticks. Mosquito 86 Agent E is EPA approved and safe around humans and pets.
  • It will take about 15 minutes to apply. And results are immediate! The majority of local mosquitoes are eliminated within 24 hours of first use so you can enjoy a mosquito- and insect-free yard up to three weeks, depending on rainfall.
  • The Mosquito 86 product line features complete kits with a choice of gas or electric blowers, or a universal kit with a custom adapter to fit many standard leaf and yard blower models, and Agent E pesticide solution.

OK — I’m your girl in need of this bad boy!

I just was the main course for a mosquito buffet
While out filling cracks in my driveway.

The bit my legs. The bit my face.
Would be great to blow them into outer space.

(And seriously, I DID just get bit about six times earlier this evening.)

Since I live in Maine and our house is in the middle of the woods and you can’t even drive to it in a car and You have to either hike in or take a 4-wheeler to get to the house the Mosquito’s are thick big and blood thirsty. I worry about the West Nile Virus and we spend big bucks on bug spray that doesn’t work that good but we have to try something. So this would be wonderful to have and I would love to do a review however this isn’t the only reason I would like this item. You see I have a cat that is allergic to fleas and they cause her hair to fall out. The medicine makes her a little sick for the first week so I don’t dare medicate her as often as recommended since I’m afraid she will have an adverse reaction to the meds. So If we could keep the fleas out of the yard that would be a big help in controlling her out breaks. Thanks for having this giveaway and have a great week!

This would be something very usefull for me since i live in a swamp. ( i would be happy to give the pictures to prove this) The mosquito population is crazy around my house and because it backs to a large swamp and the local reservoir and i have a great concern each summer that west nile could be a problem in my backyard. This would allow me to eat outside again. (i only got to do this once this year) I also would be happy to give it a real test and share what i find later on!

I did not even know there was such a thing as this. I am DEFINITELY in need of this. I near the water, but with lots of woods around and of course being in Florida doesn’t help either. It’s like you get eaten alive when you go out into the yard and our poor pug puppy gets swarmed too and had welts on top of her head that she scratched and ended up having to wear a collar to keep her from making them worse. Poor puppy having to look like a reverse cone head for a almost a week. Yes, this is something we could definitely use.

After reading your review, I’m in!

My backyard and its deck have become near useless unless it is 10pm at night, or before 3pm. I’m in the Northern Virginia area, and we suffer from vulture mosquitoes in my area. My wife gets bitten literally 30 seconds after walking outside, and I have to take care when I take our dog out to go potty. And doing serious yardwork in the PM on the weekend is a risk/reward calculation now. Risk the 20 bites, or let the weeds inch closer to our vegetable garden?

We had hopes of having a dinner party or two, or at least having friends over for a quick bite and coctail; but we gave up on that after the mosquitoes.

Plus, in a twist of cruel irony, my 18 month-old daughter LOVES being outside (seriously, she would stay out all day without eating), and she is highly allergic to mosquitos. I’m tired of tossing the Deet coin and hoping it isn’t harming her.

My mother-in-law contracted West Nile before it was even called West Nile. She eventually passed away from complications related to her illness. Words can not describe the impact this had on our entire family and those near to her. We are very careful now with reducing our risk of bug bites and the Mosquito 86 Gas-blower based Mosquito Prevention System would provide greater peace of mind. Thank-you.

Check out the article I just posted on my blog about this giveaway!
Taking a cue from NV, I am also shamelessly blogging to try and win something free! One Project Closer is giving away a Mosquito 86 Removal System!
As you all know, we live in the country, and with all the rain we’ve had this year, the mosquitoes have been running rampant! Not that that makes us different than anyone else in this area, but this does – my Little Man is allergic to mosquitoes. Yes, I know, lots of people are, to an extent, but Ty is severely allergic and we carry an epi-pen, just in case. Being free of mosquitoes would sure be a blessing for us!
SO, that’s my plug! Go check it out for yourself!

Oooh – enter me, please! I will go for the 10 entries and subscribe by email. I’d love to write a post about it, but can’t…

We’re looking at taking over a nearby campground, and moving into a modular on site. Obviously, living right next to a river will have a few mosquito issues. And five very itchy kids! BUT, I can’t post about it yet b/c I can’t tell my mom until it’s a certainty (she’s a bit possessive of having her grandchidren very close by, and she’ll have a small fit at the prospect of us moving). But I would totally reveiw the product if we won. :)

How’s that for short and sweet, lol?!

I’ve been having major problems with mosquitos lately. In the course of only a few minutes of taking the dogs out to the dog run this morning yielded a half dozen bites. Over 150 acres of wetlands behind the house and a half acre puddle in the field in front of the house from rains over the last month haven’t helped either. We have mosquitoes, we have no-see-ums — and we have “official” wetlands in our backyard (i.e. with county, state, and federal restrictions on doing anything to remediate standing water, if you can imagine — although at least some previous owner apparently found a source for mosquito fish)…

My wife is convinced that there are organized groups buzzily leaving scouts waiting by the front and back doors, waiting for her to come out, because they just LOVE the way she tastes. If this product turns out to work in our area, I guarantee significant sales opportunities are available. Ring me up for one, one, ONE entry!!
