This month, the nice folks at DIY Network are giving FIVE lucky OPC readers a brand new 25-foot double-sided stainless steel tape measure.
We’ve tried this tape measure ourselves, and we were impressed. It has fantastically clear markings, double-sided markings & stop, and cool DIY Network branding on the side (so you can tell everyone you got this tape measure for FREE).
DIY Network wants to get the word out that Cool Tools will be airing a special holiday blitz of episodes over the Thanksgiving weekend to gear up for the holidays and get viewers prepared to tackle their own home renovation projects. We actually have one of these but it’s always hidden away with his tools somewhere, so whenever I need to measure something I have to pull out the cloth, sewing tape measure which is a pretty pathetic substitute.

I really need a new tape measure. Mine is kind of halfway broken and held together with tape. Luckily it’s at about the 20 ft mark and I don’t have to pull it out that far very often.

I just finished several big remodeling jobs at home including tile flooring two bathrooms , installing composite wood flooring in my downstairs area, replacing sinks and toilets in three bathrooms. I had DIY Network on in the background to motivate me to continue and do the best job possible. I’d love to use this tape measure on future jobs I have planned!

Being a butter fingers, I love the rubber casing and solidity of this tape measure. My current one no longer retracts so it is coiled up, waiting for me to open the toolbox so it can spring out … my heart skips each and every time.

The tape could replace the one I lost when it dropped inside a concrete block wall my hubby was building. Fell all the way to the bottom, about five feet, and we couldn’t retrieve it.
