Today we are celebrating Memorial Day, and instead of a regular post, I’d like to thank all the men and women who have served and are currently serving our country. Memorial Day is a valuable reminder of what’s important and to be thankful for the blessings in our lives. I’m thankful for the sacrifices of many brave men and women so we can all enjoy the freedoms we often take for granted.

I’m so glad you decided to post this. My husband and I have many amazing men and women in our family in the Armed Services, now and in the past. If you haven’t heard of it, check out http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org. My husband’s oldest brother just celebrated his first “alive day” on Monday. He was injured in a roadside IED and fractured his back and shattered his right heal. He and his men were lucky because they all could have easily been taken that day. There are so many heros in our own communities that we should never forget. Thanks again Ethan!
