Millard Fuller, Habitat for Humanity

Millard Fuller, founder of Habitat for Humanity, has passed away. In 1976, he founded habitat in Americus, Georgia and served as the organization’s leader for 29 years. Habitat is a program of “partnership housing,” that has helped more than 300,000 families.

Fuller (1935-2009) died today at age 74, following a breif illness. For more information about Fuller check out the article on the Habitat for Humanity site.

    How sad. Habitat for Humanity is an inspirational organisation, and a superb legacy.

    How sad. My family had the honor of knowing Millard and having dinner with him a few times over the years. He truly was a beautiful soul, and he will be greatly missed.
