Introduction to the Basement Refinishing Project
Here’s the first video in my series on basement remodeling. Unfortunately, I started this blog and videos after the basement project got started. As a result, much work is already completed; so this video gets you caught up on where I am.
Waterproofers (I’ll write some additional posts on these later)..
Both of these cement block waterproofers have worked very well so far; but, they’ve only been up for 4 months. Unlike the latex paint waterproofers that have become very common, these are portland cement based products that resist hydrostatic pressure much better than their paint counterparts. Super Thoroseal claims waterproofing up to 200 PSI, while popular paint-on products claim about 20 PSI.
Radiant Heated Flooring:
I’m going to write a whole stream of posts dedicated to radiant heated flooring. This is the brand I’ve chosen for the job.
