Ralph Lauren & Behr Paint Coupons (10% Off Discount)

ads>

spray paint cansWe recently had a visitor to the site looking for Ralph Lauren Paint Coupons, and we daily get a couple of folks looking for Behr Paint Coupons.  I’ve scoured the web and found no such coupons available (save for several expired or VERY time-limited Behr Coupons).  Perhaps Mr. Lauren & Mr. Behr are just a little stingy on the discounts…

In any event, if you’re looking for these coupons, your best bet is to get a Home Depot coupon (available at a few links below).  Alternatively, you can use a Lowes coupon or any other home improvement store coupon, as Home Depot honors competitors’ coupons.  Lowes does as well, good to know only if you’re interested in buying something other than Ralph Lauren or Behr Paint, both of which are only sold at Home Depot.

Here’s a few links to check out.  Hope this helps you out!

What do you think? If you find additional coupons for Ralph Lauren Paint or Behr Paint, please leave a comment below with the links in them.  Also, leave a comment if any of these coupons expire.

Update: Ryan over at Military Finance Network let us know that Home Depot and Lowes offer Military Discounts of up to 10% off, which could be used to cheapen your Behr or Ralph Lauren purchase if you’re a member of the armed services.

Behr and RL paint are great. I had these paints in my townhouse before moving to my detached home. The townhouse had both paint brands in various locations throughout the townhouse and the colors and feel of the wall afterwards were awesome. The key is to get semi-gloss. This way you can easily clean off any marks or spills on the paint. Now my detached/single-family house is another story. We had professional painters come in and paint the grand room (2-story ceilings), foyer, kitchen, and morning room. The painter had a wholesale discount with Sherwin Williams, so the paints were obtained at cost. The first mistake was using a Satin finish. Not only does this leave marks, but its harder to clean. The second was the quality. We ended up painting the dining room with a RL paint, and decided to use a satin finish. The quality and feel on the RL paint was much higher than the Sherwin Williams. So the moral of the story I guess is use a high quality paint, and try to use semi-gloss if you can!

Behr paint is awesome. And, later this month, they’ll likely have their annual Memorial Day rebate. Watch the Home Depot ads for it!

I have to agree with Jay’s comments 100%. We lived in a beautiful and luxurious townhouse before moving to our single family detached house. The townhouse had RL and Behr paints throughout the house, and the finish was semi-gloss. The rooms look brighter and the finish is so smooth that you can easily clean off any dirt or stains. Now we had professional painters come and paint our grand room, hallways (both upstairs/downstairs, and foyer, all of which have a 2 story foyer. They also painted our kitchen and morning room. The painters were the same ones that the builder used so they cut us a deal if we’d pay cash. The painters also had some discounts with Sherwin Williams. Ok, not a problem we though. Big mistake! We should’ve stuck to what we knew or works. The painters insisted on using a satin finish. You can easily notice a difference between satin and semi-gloss. Its extremely difficult to clean off marks that our son makes. The other issue, Sherwin Williams is an inferior paint when compared to Behr or RL. We painted the dining room with RL paint using a satin finish. Even though it was a satin finish, the quality and feel of the wall was so much better, it almost looked like and felt like a semi-gloss finish. We also ended up repainting the kitchen/morning room ourselves and bought the same color Behr paint and semi-gloss finish that we had in our townhouse. This looks so much better and richer. I wish we had gone with Behr or RL semi-gloss. The builders always use flat paints on the houses, which always garner marks. My rental townhouse still has the builder’s flat paint. I’m planning on repainting some of the rooms using Behr or RL semi-gloss finishes. The extra money that you spend ($25-Behr at home despot or $30-RL at home despot vs the $15 or $20 per Sherwin Williams can) is infinitely worth it after you see the finish. It’ll look and feel more valuable!
Btw, stay away from the Lowe’s brand of paints, I believe their Vespar or something. We painted one of our rooms in our old townhouse with this using a satin finish, big mistake! The finish feels like chalk and looks cheap in comparison to the RL or Behr semi-gloss finishes. Good luck on your paint jobs!

So very curious that Uday 100% agrees with Jay but also has a more elaborate, yet exactly the same story as Jay! What a coincidence! Give me a break, just HD employees or something trying to pretend to be regular commenters. Behr sucks, bottom line. RL paint seems to be a little bit better than Behr but I still didn’t think it was GREAT. However, it’s been a few years since I used it and I just read that RL has the highest consumer satisfaction rating in something done by JD Power, and specifically that the satisfaction level increased by a lot just from 2008-2009 so I would give it another shot.

Sherwin Williams (along with Benjamin Moore) are in a completely different class – much higher quality paint…easier to put on, requires less paint to cover, etc. I would use it more often if it wasn’t as cost prohibitive. To repaint regularly, or in a huge room with incredibly tall ceilings like I have, it really adds up…but it’s easier to work with, so…you get what you pay for I guess.

Ok hmm, guess you should have the facts before becoming accusatory..
I’m not a HD employee, don’t even work in that area remotely. I’ve tried the following paints in various finishes: Duron, Sherwin-Williams, Behr, RL. Duron was ok, but it did match what the builder had intended as their finish. Plus the Duron store has the builder specs (type of paint/finish) if you have the model/community info. Their hours suck (close @ 5 on weekdays), but why am I not surprised. Sherwin-Williams: alot of painters use this, they get massive discounts on it, but the finish sucks. I’m comparing the satin finish of SW vs the satin finish of the RL paint. The RL tops this. Just running your finger on the finished product of the RL painted room has a smoother feel than the SW room. Also the SW coated room had two coats (painted professionally), vs 1 coat for the RL finished room. RL certainly tops SW, hence worth the extra cost. Now for Behr, the people who had decorated the townhouse had used a combo of this and RL. They used a semi-gloss finish so I’m assuming thats why it looked so good. Now, I can tell you that we only used one coat to repaint the kitchen/morning room with the Behr semi-gloss finish, it looks much better than the flat SW paint the builder used. I have tried SW’s semi-gloss, its ok. I’m not here to pitch Behr or RL to anyone, but after dealing with this in 3 different homes, the fact remains that a semi-gloss finish with Behr or RL looks so much better than the satin finishes that SW had. I am not into repainting etc, so the semi-gloss finish seems to have held up after several years. However one thing to be aware of, test your paints out wisely. Buy some samples that are flat and view them in day and night. It’ll make a huge difference and save you a major headache/time. I’m about to paint a rental property that has had the oringinal builder Duron white walls in there since the townhouse was constructed (5 1/5 years ago). Not to pitch a product or anything, I’m planning on using Behr Semi-Gloss paint throughout the house. Any marks can be rubbed off easily and for a rental prop, that’s pretty important (avoids having to go through and retouch the place).

After all said and done, everyone’s experience will differ. I can say that the worst paint I’ve bought (only used it for 1 room though), was Lowe’s Vaspar. It was a satin finish – big mistake there, and uses more paint per area. Also the finish feels more like a flat finish, a huge mistake and lesson learned!

    To everyone reading here…

I’m the original author, and since penning this post we’ve used ralph lauren on a dozen projects. We’re not at all paid by HD for our endorsement. In fact, HD and Lowes have both sponsored this blog in the past, as have many other companies.

The reality is that we’ve just been super pleased with RL, as has every friend we’ve ever recommended it to. Until I have a bad experience, that’ll be the story I stick with.
