Restore Wood Cabinet Appearance with Pledge Orange Oil

ads>

I mentioned in a my whole-townhouse renovation post that one of the things we did NOT choose to budget into the project was new cabinets.  We’ll get to that sometime down the road, but for the meantime, I used Pledge Orange Oil to restore the new-cabinet look in the kitchen and baths before showing the house to potential tenants.

In the interest of full-disclosure, the cabinet below was dusty as well as dull, so obviously, cleaning it at all would have been an improvement.  But the contrast is more than just clean-versus dirty.  The orange oil made the wood doors look new again!

Both the medicine cabinet and the base cabinet pictured here are 20 years old and are in the only full-bath in the house.  So they’ve been through humidity, grime, and lots of use.  But they look nice enough to hold onto for a few more years, yet.

I’ve had similar positive results in the past with Murphy’s oil soap and Old English.  Grab any of the three and buy yourself some time before going for the total cabinet-replacement!
