Cheap Nailer and Compressor Combo Kits (Porter Cable & Bostitch)

If you’re in the market for a high quality, inexpensive compressor and nailer kit, we’ve found two factory reconditioned combo kits that are perfect for the do-it-yourselfer and semi-professional looking to get the most for your money. Both of these models save more than 20% off their retail counterparts, and will ship to most places sales tax free through Amazon.

The first kit is the Porter Cable Three-Nailer Compressor Combo Kit; the second is the Bostitch Three Nailer Compressor Combo kit.  Both of these kits provide the same essential components: a pancake compressor & hose, a finishing nailer, a brad nailer, a stapler, and a tote bag.  You can follow either of those two links to read our articles on these compressors and get instructions for how to purchase them.

Choosing the Bostitch vs. Porter Cable Kit

While the two kits are similar, there are slight variances.  Here’s a summary:

  • At a mere $185 with free shipping, the Bostitch is a better deal (compared to $240 for the Porter Cable after shipping expense).
  • The Porter Cable compressor has two valves as opposed to Bostitch’s one, and PC’s is slightly more powerful than the Bostitch version, which means the compressor will allow you to work faster with less compressor-on time.
  • The Porter Cable hose is of slightly higher quality than the Bostitch; however, a new decent quality hose can be purchased for either for about $20.

Recommended Nailer Compressor Combo Kit

We’ve heard nothing but positive things about Bostitch’s nailer kit.  At $185, this deal is really tough to beat.  For the DIYer without a preference for Porter Cable, the Bostitch kit makes the most sense.
