Refurbished/Reconditioned Variable Pressure Paint Sprayer by Wagner (Paint Crew Plus)

Paint sprayers make quick work of even the most daunting painting and staining jobs.  Need to paint or stain a large deck or fence? Paint a whole house?  Paint an open ceiling?  A paint sprayer makes quick work of all these projects and more.

One paint sprayer worth considering for your job is Wagner’s Paint Crew Plus Paint Sprayer, the big brother of Wagner’s standard Paint Crew paint sprayer.  While similar in durability and purpose, the Paint Crew Plus offers one important additional feature: variable pressure control

Variable Pressure Control

Variable pressure control is important because paints and stains with differing thicknesses spread better under different pressures.  For instance, a thick primer requires a high pressure setting to spread evenly.  A relatively thin deck stain requires a much lower pressure.  If you spray a thin deck stain with a high pressure sprayer, you’ll quickly have a cloud of stain in your back yard, which could damage your neighbors’ houses.

The lower pressure setting can also be used with Wagner’s pressure roller attachment, which allows the paint sprayer to double as an auto-pumping roller, especially useful for speedy completion of interior ceilings and walls.

Price & Where to Buy

Amazon has offerred the new version of this sprayer for quite some time at the full retail price.  We were excited to see that they’ve recently started offering a refurbished verrsion of the sprayer at a significant discount.  The new version retails for $243.  The refurbished version is listed for only $149, a near $100 savings.  Plus, the unit qualifies for free shipping to your front door, and Amazon charges no sales tax in most places, making this a great deal.  Here’s the links:

Don’t forget to look at the Wagner Roller Attachment too.
