Hanging Succulent Terrarium / Garden

Hanging Succulent Terrarium / Garden

I know, you are shocked to see me blogging about a succulent garden wall hanging…really a mason jar terrarium. I’m pretty shocked myself. Kim is our resident gardener and I prefer my plants to be of the plastic variety. Its pretty hard to kill a plastic plant, although if anyone could do it, it would be me and my girls! I gave gardening a try a few weeks ago when I was asked  to partner with Home Depot on their Do-It-Herself Workshop: Succulent Gardens Inspired by Pinterest. In addition to sharing this succulent garden...

DIY Birch Branch Jewelry Box

DIY Birch Branch Jewelry Box

Sometimes the fun and messy world of creative projects means needing to remove my wedding ring. In fact I once left my ring on underneath my gloves while staining some wood, but when I went to clean the brush I was no longer wearing the gloves, and the stain sorta dripped down onto my ring. Yikes! I nearly had a heart attack, but luckily it was nothing a little vinegar and a baking soda couldn’t fix up.I wanted a special place to store my rings and being that I’m all about rustic decor, I decided a birch branch jewelry box...

Have you heard that DecoArt came out with a new line of Americana Chalky Finish Paint?!?! I have been super excited about it and they were nice enough to send me some to try out! Craftin’ like its 1999 with Michael’s and Hometalk

If you didn’t see last week’s big announcement – I was super privileged to be a Hometalk Ambassador at Michael’s Pinterest Inspired Party this past Sunday! It was one serious craft party and was sooooo much fun. Here were a few of the girls who were still there at the end when I remembered to get a group shot, but as you can tell, we were a good looking’ group of women! To start, I was lucky enough to team up with the Michael’s where I shop (way to frequently, Ethan would say). Judy was our point person...

Simple Valentine Day Crafts from Craft Night!

It’s been a couple months but for the first time since the holiday, we had Craft Night with my bloggy BFF, Liz at Naptime Decorator. And what better to craft than simple Valentine’s Day Crafts. Well, I should clarify that….not everyone did such simple crafts, but I did.Mini Tulip Heart Wreath First up, I was inspired by two beautiful tulip wreaths from The DIY Village and Naptime Decorator. I put my own spin on it using a heart-shaped grapevine wreath and mini-tulips from Michaels. I used a coupon for the wreath and tulips...

DIY Ribbon Flowers with Kat!

I like change. Not big life altering changes, but little changes. Changes that other people may not notice, but that make me smile all the same. Take for instance the lamp in my new office. If you’re looking for more DIY fabric flowers, check out Jocie’s tutorial too.If you’ve never made a ribbon flower, then now’s...
