Peacock Painting Party: Sponsored Post

Have you ever been to a painting party before? I never have, although I have done a few wine and pottery nights with my besties. Recently, DecoArt contacted me and asked if I would be willing to host a Social Artworking Party for my friends. It was a super easy “YES!”The girls came with margaritas and snacks in hand, but were more than a little hesitant. I am probably one of the most artistic/crafty ones in the group, although my cousin, Naomi and friend, Amy are pretty darn talented too. But for everyone else in the group,...

Birdcage Succulent Garden I had this idea in the back of my mind for a while...

{DIY} Challenge Accepted

A month or so ago, I was invited to participate in the WayFair/Hometalk blogger challenge. Our mission was simple, chose one of three WayFair items to makeover: a mirror, shelf, or lampshade. Then, chose one of three themes: geometric pattern, incorporating rope, or black & white. WayFair sent us the product and a $25 gift card to cover supplies…if we chose to accept their challenge.Ethan and I are not ones to walk away from a challenge, especially Ethan. He has been known to do some crazy food challenges, like eat 9 butter...

Our Easter Tradition: Pottery Eggs

One of our favorite Easter traditions is going to our local pottery shop and painting Easter eggs with my mom. We started when Izzie was just two months old, at the suggestion of my cousin who has carried on this tradition with her girls. The hope is that we will have a pottery egg for each year of the girl’s life and can give them to the girls as a keepsake when they move out of the house. Until then, we proudly display them each Easter. If you need some more Easter craft idea be sure to check out my¬†Easter/Spring mantle, ¬†5 Minutes...

Easter/Spring Mantel: Bunnies and Pastels

This past year, I have tried to join the cool kids in making seasonal mantels. This is my very first Easter mantel and honestly, I’ve been so busy that I didn’t put too much time into it. Haha! All in all, it turned out kinda cute, plus I only spent about $20 in total! I used a couple of my 5 Minutes or Less Dollar Store Easter projects, plus a few other little crafts I made just for this mantel. My theme was bunnies and pastels – okay, not really a theme, it just ended being that way. Yeah, I’m fancy, and I know...
