Everyone needs vintage baby shower ideas, right? Well, as Kim and I (along with two other friends, Amber and Lori) planned this baby shower for Kim’s sister, Amy, we got a bit out of control. Seriously, this may have been the most epic shower. EVER.Amy, the mother-to-be, plans to decorate her baby boy nursery with a 1920′s travel/biplane theme. Super cute and original, right? When planning her shower, we were hoping to support her nursery idea and, in hopes that if she liked the shower decor she could also use it for the...

Today is a very special link party! In addition to linking up your most current projects and recipes, we are also looking for your favorite wedding ideas, themes, and tips. This is a special request from one of our readers, Paintergal, whose son will be getting married this summer, and she is looking for some inspiration. So let’s help her out! This weekend is also Ethan’s and my seven year wedding anniversary! It’s gone so fast and I love him more every year, so no seven year itch for us. Heehee. Here is my own wedding...

One of our favorite Easter traditions is going to our local pottery shop and painting Easter eggs with my mom. We started when Izzie was just two months old, at the suggestion of my cousin who has carried on this tradition with her girls. The hope is that we will have a pottery egg for each year of the girl’s life and can give them to the girls as a keepsake when they move out of the house. Until then, we proudly display them each Easter. If you need some more Easter craft idea be sure to check out my Easter/Spring mantle, 5 Minutes...

This past year, I have tried to join the cool kids in making seasonal mantels. This is my very first Easter mantel and honestly, I’ve been so busy that I didn’t put too much time into it. Haha! All in all, it turned out kinda cute, plus I only spent about $20 in total! I used a couple of my 5 Minutes or Less Dollar Store Easter projects, plus a few other little crafts I made just for this mantel. My theme was bunnies and pastels – okay, not really a theme, it just ended being that way. Yeah, I’m fancy, and I know...

Our girls, Izzie and Lucy are almost exactly 2 years apart in age – Izzie was born on February 11th and Lucy on January 24th. We just threw Lucy’s Bug party two weeks ago and then threw Izzie’s Brave party on Tuesday. So much fun but super intense. One day maybe we will have combined birthday parties…of maybe I will just need to tone down the parties! lol.The Decorations Izzie was insistent she wanted a “Merida” party ever since we bought the movie in November. After all, she does look just like Merida....

As I have shared before, I am super lucky to have a real-life bloggy friend 5 minutes from my house – Liz from Naptime Decorator. She is sweet, kind, and has a wonderful sense of style. When we first connected a few months ago, she invited me to her Craft Night that she hosts for her friends (this is a real party, not the linky kind, lol!). Liz also has some pretty wonderful friends who have been very kind to this insecure crafter. This past week was my third Craft Night and each time I have even more fun! Liz threw out some Valentine’s...

Tuesday morning we hosted a bug party in honor of Lucy’s 2nd birthday party! This may have been my favorite party theme yet, and I didn’t even spend very much. Invitations I made these super cute invitations for the party using my printer and Silhouette. They turned out adorable and I designed it myself (no Pinterest inspiration here! lol). The downside – I made them a weird size so I didn’t have any envelopes to mail them. Oops. So I sent an email to the moms and gave them the invitation AT the party! #failDecorations Awhile...

My youngest daughter, Lucy (affectionately called Lulu) will be turning 2 on Thursday! Wow! She has gotten to be such a big girl, and one with strong opinions, like her Mama. She is a BIG fan of bumblebees, much to the thanks of the Laurie Berkner “Buzz Buzz” song. So this year’s birthday theme will be BUGS. Since Lulu doesn’t like big crowds, we’re having a pretty small party with just a few friends. In some ways, this makes it easy for me to go totally overboard, just on a smaller scale. lol. In addition...

You may have heard (what with my constant talk on FB and in recent posts) but we had our very first Baltimore Bloggers Holiday Party this past weekend! It was so fabulous! The idea of a holiday party came to me in November, not long after I had quit my day job to blog full-time. I was really struggling in leaving a job with so much interpersonal connection to blog. I love blogging and I love connecting with readers and other bloggers online, but it is very different from the face-to-face interaction I was used to. In all honesty, I was...
