DIY Batgirl and Robin Girl Costumes!

This Halloween was all about the Batgirl and Robin girl costumes! I was actually surprised how excited both our girls were about these costumes since they’ve never seen Batman and the costumes weren’t of the Princess variety. Although, in all fairness, they did involve glitter and very big tutus! lol.I pushed for a family theme costume this year because my good friend, Ruth threw a Halloween party where costumes were mandatory for all! I found my inspiration for the girl’s costumes on Pinterest (but with no...

We wanted to pay homage to her fall wedding with lots of pumpkins, candles, fall flowers, burlap, and fall foods! We all had a wonderful time, and most of all, I hope she felt really...

Pumpkin Carving and Decorating!

Halloween is coming and fall is here, so what’s better than a little pumpkin carving and decorating?! Pumpkin Carving Ideas Every year some friends host a pumpkin carving contest (sadly, not this year, since she is scheduled to give birth 2 days before Halloween). They gather together a handful of friends and setup teams who have one hour to carve a pumpkin from start to finish. It’s a lot of fun, and if you know me and Ethan, you know that we love competition, plus we love busting out the power tools! Here were a few...

Vintage Baby Shower Ideas? Yes, Please!

Everyone needs vintage baby shower ideas, right? Well, as Kim and I (along with two other friends, Amber and Lori) planned this baby shower for Kim’s sister, Amy, we got a bit out of control. Seriously, this may have been the most epic shower. EVER.Amy, the mother-to-be, plans to decorate her baby boy nursery with a 1920′s travel/biplane theme. Super cute and original, right? When planning her shower, we were hoping to support her nursery idea and, in hopes that if she liked the shower decor she could also use it for the...

Our Easter Tradition: Pottery Eggs

One of our favorite Easter traditions is going to our local pottery shop and painting Easter eggs with my mom. We started when Izzie was just two months old, at the suggestion of my cousin who has carried on this tradition with her girls. The hope is that we will have a pottery egg for each year of the girl’s life and can give them to the girls as a keepsake when they move out of the house. Until then, we proudly display them each Easter. If you need some more Easter craft idea be sure to check out my¬†Easter/Spring mantle, ¬†5 Minutes...

Easter/Spring Mantel: Bunnies and Pastels

This past year, I have tried to join the cool kids in making seasonal mantels. This is my very first Easter mantel and honestly, I’ve been so busy that I didn’t put too much time into it. Haha! All in all, it turned out kinda cute, plus I only spent about $20 in total! I used a couple of my 5 Minutes or Less Dollar Store Easter projects, plus a few other little crafts I made just for this mantel. My theme was bunnies and pastels – okay, not really a theme, it just ended being that way. Yeah, I’m fancy, and I know...
