Bosch TC10 Wet Tile & Stone Saw Review

In June of this year Bosch unveiled the new TC10 Wet Tile and Stone Saw and folding stand, and this saw marks Bosch’s first foray into the wet saw market. About a month ago I gave you anĀ initial look at the TC10 with the promise of a full-on review. Here at OPC we like to get tools out in the field before passing judgement, and Jim and Rich from Diamond Tile were kind enough to test it out for us. Jim and Rich are professional tile installers and each have over 27 years experience so I was very interested to get their opinion on...

Bosch GMS120 Wall Scanner Review

I’ve often felt like studs finders are the snake oil of home improvement, and I could do just as well knocking on the drywall to find a stud. I’m sure you’ve been there too, driving a screw through sheetrock only to find there’s nothing behind it. Well Bosch is working to change all that, and today we’re taking a look at the GMS120 Wall Scanner. Although this tool came out early last year, it’s a new addition to the OPC workshop, and I’ve rigged up a test for the GMS120. Let’s see how it...

Cutting the Cord

From my own DIY exploits and hanging with pro contractors it has become very apparent how important it is to have the best possible battery for your cordless tools. Batteries impact tool performance, runtime, productivity and even future purchases. Just about everyone owns a cordless drill/driver, and more and more manufacturers are offering cordless versions of traditionally corded tools. Before you jump head-first into the world of cordless tools, here are some questions you need to ask yourself. Are...

First Look: New Bosch TC10 Wet Tile & Stone Saw

Editors Note: If you’re interested in learning more about the Bosch TC10, check out the full review, and see what a pair of professional tile installers had to say. I just received the new Bosch TC10 tile and stone saw and folding stand yesterday, and I’m really excited to get this into the hands of my tile contractors. I saw this saw for the first time a few years ago at a Bosch media event, and was blown away with the smooth action of the sliding table. Plus, this saw can do it all- 24″ rip capacity, bevel cuts and...

Bosch Media Event 2012

It’s been quiet around OPC, and that’s because I’ve been away at the annual Milwaukee & Bosch media events. It just so happened that these two competitors scheduled their events back-to-back, and that kept me busy all last week. If you missed it, here are some of the new (and soon to be released) products from Milwaukee. Today I’m going to show you some of the cool, new tools from Bosch. GSL-2 Surface Laser Bosch has just introduce a surface laser that scans a floor for level and flatness, and you can imagine...

The Best Compact Drill Drivers: We Test Five Popular 18V Models

If you read press releases or simply watch commercials around the holidays, you know that just about every tool manufacturer makes some sort of “best in class” statement regarding their product. New Bosch GTS1031 Table Saw Review
Ethan | June 23, 2011
New Bosch GTS1031 Table Saw Review

In April 2011, Bosch unveiled their new GTS1031 table saw. Designed to be compact and portable, this 10″ saw is a great choice for the job site. Bosch included some sweet features like protected on-board storage, a handle for one-handed carry and all steel “roll cage”. For these perks, you sacrifice rip capacity and a few extra pounds, and that seems a fair trade to us. We’ve been dating the GTS1031 for a few months after Bosch was generous enough to send us a test unit. More pictures can be found on our Facebook...
