Where to Find Outdoor String Lights

We were on a mission. We knew that finding the perfect outdoor string lights would make Jocie’s and Kim’s outdoor birthday party a success. Fred and I searched store after store, and finally found them.

Outdoor String Lights

We finally found them at Target, but not before checking Walmart, Party City, Spencers, the Dollar Store (it was close, we had to look), and the internet (plenty there, but with long shipping leads). The outdoor string lights we wanted have large, frosted bulbs. Target actually has a lot to choose from besides these: margarita lights, Chinese lanterns, umbrella lights, and more. We chose this set for the classic, complements-anything look.

Birthday Party Success

It was an evening party with a Caribbean theme; Jimmy Buffet played in the background. We served fresh steamed crabs (I guess that’s more a Maryland thing than a Caribbean one) complemented by steak and chicken kabobs The string lights provided a soft glow. The guests could see; but more importantly, the lights created ambiance. Jocie and Kim had a great time.
