GIVEAWAY and The Humble Brag: Link Party #11

December 14, 2012 | by Jocie (email) |

Woot woot! IT’S FRIDAY!! I’m super happy because the week is done, I have done almost all of my Christmas shopping, I completed a lot of my Christmas baking, and we’re going on a OPC double date tonight! This week, I also FINALLY posted about some fab pillows I made and tutorials to go with it.

If you haven’t heard, this weekend is your last chance to win a free Silhouette Cameo! Even if you have already entered, don’t worry, you can get even more entries! How, you say? Share the giveaway again on FB! Did you sign up for the weekly email reminder for link party? If you’ve done all these things, ask your husband, neighbor, stranger on the street to enter for you!

Want a Free Silhouette Cameo?

OMG – I want this so bad. If you win it, I wouldn’t hate you if you let me come play with it. Here are the highlights of what you could win:

  • The silhouette cameo includes a 12 inch cutting mat, cutting blade, 50 exclusive cuttable designs and $10 gift card to the Silhouette Online Store
  • Includes access to thousands of downloadable designs; Includes PC and Mac compatible software
  • Cuts up to 12-inch wide and 10-feet long; cuts a variety of materials from vinyl to fabric
  • Great for Scrapbook layouts, cards, custom apparel, vinyl decor, etched glass, sketch designs, and paper crafts
  • Intricate cuts, precision duplication, and smooth edges make the Silhouette the perfect tool for paper crafting projects

How to Enter

There are several ways to enter, and if you do them all you’ll get multiple entries in the giveaway.

Once you do any or all of those things, log into Rafflecopter and check the appropriate boxes to officially enter. When a winner is chosen we will double-check to make sure your entries are authentic, so please play nice.

**This giveaway has ended**

The giveaway will run along side today’s link party, ending Sunday at midnight. The winner will be announced on Monday, December 17th by Facebook and/or email (depending on how you logged into Rafflecopter), and the winner will have 48 hours to respond or a new winner will be chosen.

Want Free Advertising?

For a limited time, we are offering FREE advertising for one lucky blogger per week who links up at the party. I will RANDOMLY select one link. We will advertise your blog in our sidebar, and trust me, that’s pretty cool since our main OPC site gets thousands of hits per day and The Better Half gets thousands per month! So tell your blogger friends and come link up. (Don’t forget, you have to link back or grab a button to win)

Some Brag-worthy Projects

As our little link party grows, so does the number of amazing projects. I had a VERY hard time picking the features this week and found myself very inspired. Thank you, guys! Here are a few of my faves…

I love this sweet and simple bottle opener from Megan at Our Pinteresting Family. I may end up making one for our house if I can figure out where to put it!

Okay, so here’s a little secret you probably didn’t know about me…I really REALLY hate creamy, saucy foods. The flavor is okay, it’s just the texture. Egg Nog is on my most list for most disgusting foods because of its thick and creamy consistency! But, egg nog BREAD…that’s something I could love! The hubby is going to be so excited when I make this. Thanks, Tanya from twelveOeight for opening a whole new world for me!

I’ve been a bit obsessed with Advent Calendars this Christmas and I am soooo in love with the pallet, wall-mounted Advent Calendar from Christine at The DIY Dreamer!

Here’s one for your cheesecake lovers – Cheesecake with White Chocolate from Winnie!

Who doesn’t love snowmen? I love this pleasant departure from the typical wreath. Great job, Sweet Little Bluebird!

What is your favorite Girl Scout Cookie? Mine are Thin Mints…I say Mints in the plural because I really like to eat more than one! haha My friend, Carol from Weeknight Dish shares her super easy recipe for making Homemade Thin Mints using only 4 ingredients. I dare you to guess her secret ingredient!

Reindeers are so hot right now. Have you seen these amazing upcycled sweater and fabric applique pillows from In His Grip? I need to work on my sewing skills so I can make these!

Our #1 Brag!

This week, our ad winner was chosen at random using random.org. Out of 72 entries, number 49 was chosen – Trish from the Old Post Road! She shares her tips for simple and cheap decorating for the Holidays!

Bragging Rules

The Humble Brag is all about encouraging one another in our pursuits (and sometimes even fails). We’re excited to see what you have been up to in your crafting/DIY world. We also welcome recipes and other projects. I will be visiting each and every link over the coming day or two, so bring it on!

We ask that you:

  • Please grab a button or link back to this post
  • Link directly to your article
  • Don’t link to a shop, store or giveaway

Make sure to check back next week to see if your project has been featured and thanks for sharing.

Grab a Button

Remember, please post a button or text link back to our party somewhere in your original post. We hope you also take the time to click on one or two other party-goers projects and give some encouragement.
