Special Link Party Supporting Sandy Hook

Special Link Party Supporting Sandy Hook

by Jocie Hagan (email Jocie) | | December 20, 2012 | 6 Comments »

Instead of the normal Humble Brag Link Party, this week will be a little different. The shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary rocked the whole nation and left families broken and hurting, just before the holidays. I don’t know about you, but when something like this happens, I am left feeling helpless – I can only imagine how the families who were directly affected are feeling. So, we are teaming up with a bunch of bloggers for today’s link party in hopes of making a difference!

Supporting Newtown Area’s United Way

Kelley at The Grant Life and Adrianne at Happy Hour Projects both host a weekend link party that opens on Thursday afternoon. This week, opened up the party to as many co-hosts who want to join to donate $0.05 for each link to the Newtown area’s United Way. The thing is – that’s not all. Some other bloggers heard about it (us included), and also wanted to match 5 cents a link – so for this special party, for every link you add, $1 will be donated to the Western Connecticut United Way.

Because of how widely hosted this weekend’s party is, links you add here will be immediately visible on several blogs. The details are below including who is donating, and what you should link today. Thanks for coming by and supporting a great cause!

Link Party Rules

Since this week’s party is a little different, so are the rules! :)

  • Please only link up December projects
  • Feel free to link back but please spread the word by sharing the link party on FB, twitter, or your blog
  • Don’t link to a shop, store, or giveaway

Make sure to check back next week to see if your project has been featured and thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much for linking up and supporting Sandy Hook along with us! If you would like to give more, or are not a blogger but would like to help too, visit Western Connecticut United Way to donate directly!

We didn’t want to take away from the great impact of this party, so last week’s Humble Brag features and winners will be listed in a separate post, so be sure to check back Friday!
