How did my baby get to be 4?!? It went too quick. Lucy was so excited for her birthday and decided on having a Frozen birthday party after Nana gave her an Anna costume for Christmas. I was kind of surprised because she’s not all that gaga for Frozen, but we went with it. I swore this year not to go overboard, so here’s Lulu’s simple Frozen birthday party!
Invitations
Of course, it always starts with the invitation. Again, in my efforts to scale it back, I made invitations on the computer and then emailed them to the moms. They turned out really cute…and FREE!
Decorations
For the most part, I bought pre-made Frozen decorations from Target and Party City.
But I did make a Frozen Banner using my Silhouette and some stickers from the Target Dollar Spot. It turned out super cute. Also, streamers sorta threw up all over the house! haha
I also made some chalkboard art for our entry way to fit with the theme. Also, just in anticipation of winter snow. 🙂
Freeze Dance
Simple, right? Yet totally fitting with the Frozen Theme. If you don’t know how to play, its easy. Play some music, dance. And Everyone freezes when the music stops. When the mosaic starts again, so does the dancing. The kids LOVED it!
Olaf Cupcakes
Since we didn’t do games, besides Freeze Dance, I thought Olaf cupcakes would be a fun activity and they were super simple for a group of 3 and 4 year olds. I made whole wheat angel food cupcakes with stabilized whipped cream icing (recipe coming soon) and topped them with clear sprinkles. Then the kids used Mega M&Ms (found at Target), carrots and pretzel sticks to create Olaf.
Costumes
In our house, most parties much have costumes! haha We might have a flair for the dramatic. Anyway, the party guests were encouraged to come as their favorite princess, prince or snowman. And, of course, every Anna needs an Elsa. Izzie and Lucy were so precious together.
