The big news of the week was that I filmed and debuted my first video on the blog! I know it’s not that big of a deal, but it seemed like it for me. heehee If you haven’t already, I would love for you to take a look and tell me what you think – Pallets 101: Deconstructing Pallets and Building Pallet Signs. Should I end my career as a video goddess and stick to typing? lol.
Also, one of my Valentine’s Day Pallets is in our Rewards Center right now – so be sure to visit to get yours for FREE!
Some Bragworthy Projects
Here were a few of my faves from last week, but truly, it seems like each week gets better and better!
First up, a rainbow hot air balloon 1st birthday party from Angie at Marigold Mom. She really is my party planning idol! I am planning a 2nd birthday party for Lucy planned totally around her lady bug lanterns. She rocks!
My grandmother always said you should learn something new everyday (I think it was my grandmother who said that), and this week I learned what GORP was! No peeking, who knows???
Loretta from A Finn in the Kitchen shares her recipe for Bittersweet Gorp Bark. And did you guess? GORP stands for Good Old Raisins and Peanuts, but Loretta says “nowadays, it pretty much means trail mix!”
I admit, I have an Owl-ful problem, because I think anything with an owl is the better thing in the world. Have you seen the adorableness of these Dollar Store Makeover Owls from The Remodeled Life? If you see these at your local Dollar Store, can you please buy me some?? I will totally pay you back or pay you in hugs, but I so badly want to do this. Thanks for the fab idea, Megan!
I feel a little sad for Phaedrea this week since her team (Broncos) lost to ours (Ravens) this past week in the play-offs. But all that emotional pain must be fueling her creativity because these little Chapstick Cozies are genius! And not too difficult for a novice sewer like me! Thanks for sharing Phaedra, and it was a really good game last week (for the record, I thought we were going to lose)!
I really love all natural home cleaners for a couple of reasons, the first being it is so much safer for the kids. The second being that I often forget to buy cleaners at the store and using stuff I already have on hand is great! So thank you sooo much Mary Beth from Cupcakes and Crinoline for sharing your recipe for an All-Natural Scrubbing Cleanser.
I am a bit obsessed with my Silhouette Cameo right now, and this DIY North Carolina Art from 2 Little Superheroes blows me out of the water! Danielle really did an amazing job!
Our #1 Brag!
Every week, we choose one link at random to receive free ad space for one week! This week, our ad winner was chosen at random using random.org. Out of 65 links, number 28 was chosen – our friend, Christine at DIY Dreamer. I love this Chunky Bead Necklace that she made for her daughters. Projects made for the kids are always some of my favorites!
Bragging Rules
The Humble Brag is all about encouraging one another in our pursuits (and sometimes even fails). We’re excited to see what you have been up to in your crafting/DIY world. We also welcome recipes and other projects. I will be visiting each and every link over the coming day or two, so bring it on!
We ask that you:
- Please grab a button or link back to this post
- Link directly to your article
- Don’t link to a shop, store or giveaway
Make sure to check back next week to see if your project has been featured and thanks for sharing.
