DIY Essential Oil Diffuser Necklace

I love my Young Living Essential Oils. Seriously, I’m a bit of a junkie. I’ve made a few DIY Essential Oil Necklaces over the past year using leather in lockets. But recently, a friend of a friend, Erin heard that you can use lava beads to diffuse oils. I was a bit skeptical at first. But honestly, the lava beads worked even better than leather! All credit goes to Erin. I will forever be grateful for the diffusing jewelry possibilities that are now open to me! woot.  New necklace, new glasses,...

Homemade Aromatherapy Playdough & The Teal Pumpkin Project!

This is our second year participating in the Teal Pumpkin Project! Have you heard about this? Promoted by FARE, Food Allergy Research & Education, the idea is to paint a pumpkin teal and put it on your porch to signal Trick or Treaters that your home is providing non-food/candy options for kids that have food allergies. Pretty cool, right?! I figure the kids get more than enough candy, and non-food treats might be a welcome (and real food approved) treat! Nobody likes a party pooper, so I promise I try to hand out...

Refresh Your Old Door Mat!

So you’re already thinking what a silly post this is, right? Why refresh an old door mat when you can just go buy a new one? Well, we’re trying to save on money these days AND honestly, I really loved my old door mat. I bought it last year when we first moved into our new house. No more...

Basement Craft Room Makeover

Basement Craft Room Makeover

We’ve lived in our new-to-us home for almost a year – hard to believe its gone that fast! In that time, this may be my favorite makeover yet – transforming a bland, spare basement dungeon into a beautiful and bold craft room. Here is how my basement craft room makeover started… Not very exciting, huh? Yet more of the Builder Beige that consumes my house (not putting that down, I just like gray or off white instead as a nuetral). But I think one of the reasons this craft room...
