Free Olympics Printable

Jocie | August 10, 2016

For the last 5 days we’ve been sitting on our couch, screaming at television, believing that USA is bringing home the gold! STICK IT!  U – S – A! Go! Go! Go! This also the first Olympics our girls remember and can enjoy being a part of the excitement. Now, if you’re from Maryland, like us, we feel a special sense of pride because of the overall domination by Michael Phelps and Katie Ledecky! And when someone yelled “O” during the national anthem when Michael won his 20th Gold…well, we... Keep reading...

Jocie | August 1, 2016

Hey everyone! I’m so excited to be here today. If you don’t know me, I’m Kelly and I blog at Here Comes the Sun. I LOVE Jocie’s blog, especially all the watercolor and hand lettering that she does. She has some serious talent. I’ve been practicing with watercolors for a while now but mine just never seem to turn out exactly the way I want them to. So I found a quick and easy way to get the watercolor effect without actual watercolors! I love to create watercolor prints with brush markers! SUPPLIES: Tombow... Keep reading...

Watercolor Printable: Aloe From the Other Side

This watercolor printable I think may be my new favorite! First off, who doesn’t love a good Adele pun? But also, I have so much fun using different colors and mixtures in my palette. I often struggle in thinking too much when I paint, putting too much time in to which colors and painting perfectly. But this time, I felt such freedom in colors and composition, without worrying about the outcome. And it ended up so wonderful! As for the hand-lettering, this little saying has kicked around in my head for quite some time. Get it? Aloe…but... Keep reading...

No Churn Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream + Free Printable

Prepare yourself because this is about to become a household favorite. Seriously, this No Churn Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream might just be my most amazing creation to date! I served it last night at a dinner party and it was a huge hit. My cousin said it was better than Blue Bell. Now, I don’t really know what Blue Bell Ice Cream is, or its significance, but my cousin assured me that it was a very high compliment. What I can tell you is that this is sweet, rich and creamy and only takes 5 minutes to make! Also, I love the chopped... Keep reading...

Free Watercolor Cactus Printable

Jocie | June 28, 2016

I know, this watercolor cactus printable is a little more edgy than most, but funny, right? Everyone loves succulents, me included, so I tried my hand at a few watercolor cacti this morning and had so much fun. Some may even call me a fun guy (or rather girl). Get it? Fungi? Okay so I’m mixing up my plant families but it its still funny. Surely, I’m no watercolor expert, but I had a lot of fun playing with different colors, layers wet and dry, and using different brushes. And really all I had to do was draw a blob and add... Keep reading...

Free Printable: Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful

This free printable I shared, along with the story awhile ago on IG, but it was one of my favorites, so I wanted to share again on the blog and give it away! We had a parenting moment this year that came sooner than I had expected. My 7 year old came home from school devastated because a boy told her she wasn’t pretty, and she wasn’t sure why he said it. My heart just broke for her and all the other little girls in this world who are told they aren’t pretty enough, smart enough, thin enough, fat enough, cool enough,... Keep reading...

Right?! lol. The kids are off for the summer and I’m excited to relax, have fun with kids, and hopefully have some time to craft and watercolor. Sounds pretty great, I know! This is one of my favorite watercolors, with the pink and blue more vibrant when printed. But I promise, it will give a smile and remind you to take each day head-on! Download... Keep reading...

DIY Citronella Candles

DIY Citronella Candles

I am so excited to share with you these beautiful and EASY DIY Citronella candles! When we started using Young Living Essential Oils a couple of years ago, we also cut out candles. It was super hard because I love the smell of candles, but they are filled with carcinogens. Did you know the toxins released from paraffin candles are the same as those found in diesel fuel fumes? No, thank you. In addition, being so much better for you, these DIY citronella candles are easy to make and can be so pretty! I had seen someone make candles using... Keep reading...
